The PESummary executables

Below we describe each executable in pesummary:

summaryclassification

This executable is used to generate a txt file containing the source classification probailities

summaryclean

This executable returns a cleaned data file

summarycombine

This executable is used to combine multiple result files into a single PESummary metafile

summarycombine_posteriors

This executable is used to combine posterior samples. This is different from ‘summarycombine’ as ‘summarycombine’ combines N files into a single metafile containing N analyses while ‘summarycombine_posteriors’ combines N posterior samples and creates a single file containing a single analysis

summarycompare

This executable is used to compare multiple files

summarydetchar

This executable is used to generate plots associated with the detectors

summaryextract

This executable is used to extract a set of posterior samples from a file containing more than one set of analyses, for instance a PESummary metafile

summarygracedb

summaryjscompare

Interface to generate JS test comparison between two results files. This plots the difference in CDF between two sets of samples and adds the JS test statistic with uncertainty estimated by bootstrapping.

summarymodify

This executable is used to modify a PESummary metafile from the command line

summarypages

summarypageslw

This executable is a lightweight version of summarypages. It allows you to customise which parameters you wish to view rather than plotting every single parameter in the result file

summarypipe

This executable is used to generate a summarypages executable given a rundir

summaryplots

summarypublication

This executable is used to generate publication quality plots given result files

summaryrecreate

This executable is used to recreate the analysis which was used to generate the posterior samples stored in the metafile

summaryreview

No description found

summarysplit

This executable is used to split the posterior samples contained within a file into N separate files. If the input file has more than one analysis, the posterior samples for each analysis is split into N separate files. This is useful for submitting thousands of summarypages to condor

summarytest

summarytgr

This executable is used to post-process and generate webpages to display results from analyses which test the General Theory of Relativity

summaryversion

This executable is used to display the version of PESummary that is currently being used
